Legacy and Inspiration
Manucci Chartered Accountants draws its name from Amatino Manucci, an Italian merchant and financier often credited with pioneering double-entry accounting in the late 13th century.
His records are the earliest known example of double-entry bookkeeping, which revolutionised the way businesses tracked their finances. Manucci’s innovations in accounting were pivotal to the growth of trade and commerce in Renaissance Italy. His contributions helped lay the foundation for modern accounting practices, making financial record-keeping more reliable and standardised.
